Jydsk Valutarisk Forening (The Jutland Monetary Association) was founded on 9 May 1979 by prominent professionals from companies in Jutland having knowledge of and interest in financial matters.
Objective
The Association’s was founded with the aim to increase the members’ understanding of financial issues – and its relevance was emphasized by the fact that a number of new financial instruments were developed during these years and their accounting treatment was legally regulated.
In recent years, the Association has expanded its perspective, as both business and political issues are now included in the Association’s focus areas.
To promote the Association’s objective, meetings are held with professional presentations and subsequent discussion including exchange of experience. Additionally study tours abroad having visits to relevant companies and authorities are arranged regularly.
The meetings not only provide relevant knowledge, but also an opportunity for professional colleagues to immerse themselves and to nurture a professional network.
Audience
The association’s target group is especially professionals from companies in Jutland and others with special interest in the focus areas.
The Association is currently undergoing a generational change – and the board is very responsive to the members’ ideas for new initiatives, etc.

The study tours in The Association have always been a big draw – and rightly so. Recent study tours have offered some incredibly inspiring speakers and social events.
